Individuals who have received both their vaccinations will be able to return from amber list countries without having quarantine.
Millions of people will be able to return from travel to countries including France, Spain and Greece without having to be isolated.
It is said that travellers will have to take a test before they return back to the UK alongside a gold standard PCR test on the second day they’re back.
Children travelling with fully vaccinated parents will also be able to avoid the 10 day isolation period.
The decision comes at a time where all social restrictions are being lifted in the UK as July 19th is titled “Freedom Day”.
Former Health Secretary, Matt Hancock, stated that travel restrictions should have stayed in place until mid-August.
These new rules are predicted to cause issues when travelling including longer airport queues and additional checks.
