Manchester Pride Festival announce full line-up and itinerary for one of the UK’s biggest annual celebration of the LGBTQ+ community.

It has been an important week for the LGBT+ community with the announcement of conversion therapy being banned in the UK from the Queen.

Earlier this year, Manchester Pride announced they would be going ahead with their annual summer weekend event in 2021.

Manchester Pride Festival, hosted by Manchester Pride (one of the UK’s leading LGBT+ charities) is one of the biggest celebrations of the LGBT community and consists of a number of events, some are free to attend and others require purchasing a ticket.

The event falls under 6 key strands of festival:

  • Equality
  • Activism
  • Arts & Culture
  • Youth & Family
  • Community
  • Party

The festival, hosted in the city’s iconic Gay Village released their lineup last week revealing big names including Annie Mac, Sigala and Katy B.

Of course, in today’s day in age, when it comes to events nothing is certain. The team released this statement..

“We can’t predict the future and we know that we could find ourselves in a situation in the coming months where we are unable to deliver a non socially distanced in-person festival.

Depending on the restrictions, this scenario would see us deliver some socially distanced, in-person live events. If this isn’t possible, we will deliver a series of digital events.”
