A new photography book ‘Hacienda Landscapes’ inspired by the design language of the iconic Hacienda Nightclub launches a Kickstarter to help fund the project.
Haçienda Landscapes is a photographic dialogue between the designer of the iconic Manchester nightclub, Ben Kelly, and photographer Eugene Schlumberger, featuring a special contribution from Factory graphic designer Peter Saville.
Comprising 256 pages, the book will honour the Factory Records tradition of utilising the finest production methods and materials. Each edition will be bound in a bright orange covering material, featuring typography stamped in white pigment foil and a high-gloss inset ‘Haçienda stripe’ detail.
Also available only as part of the Kickstarter campaign is a special edition, limited to 100 copies, bound in bookcloth, individually numbered, signed by Ben Kelly and Eugene Schlumberger, and housed in a handmade slipcase.
The book is now on Kickstarter, with publication scheduled for winter this year, ahead of The Haçienda’s 40th anniversary in 2022.
