The NQ cafe opened in the past week, located opposite The Pen & Pencil, is a self-proclaimed safe haven for people who suffer from anxiety and give people a place to feel calm and relax.
Named “We Are Feel Good Club” the venue does what it says on the tin. Run by married owners Aimee and Kiera first began their business endeavour as an Instagram page committed to posting positive messages regarding mental health and doing their bit to destigmatise the the conversation of mental illness in society.
Due to the recent news of a new lockdown beginning Thurs 5th Nov and all hospitality businesses to close, their cafe will remain open but offer a takeaway service for customers – which doesn’t sound all that great however, their staff are mental health first aid trained and can support people as they grab their coffee!
So be sure to tell your friends who pass through the city and may benefit from a new perspective about how things are in the world.
With the increase in anxiety, depression and OCD during lockdown, it is incredibly important to keep an eye on the ones closest to you and to spread MH awareness.
