Some House for your House.
The venue may be gone, but the memories linger. These were formative years for music, these were formative years for Manchester and now, many years after the last needle left a record we can revisit those days in our minds and in our houses.
From midday tomorrow till midnight tomorrow a line up of the finest DJs, residents and rock stars to have frequented FAC51 have been assembled for the Haçienda’s first ‘stay at home rave’, as part of Greater Manchester’s United We Stream project.
The lineup is stupidly good – David Morales, Roger Sanchez and Todd Terry joining us from across the pond to headline. Graeme Park, Jon Dasilva, Tom Wainwright and K Klass representing from Manchester. Roy Davis Jr bringing us those Chicago House vibes and Orbital’s Paul Hartnoll playing a special live set spanning the group’s catalogue of classics as well as new and unreleased tracks.
If Manchester needs anything in this time of isolation it is to remember the time when it was all about coming together, united under one roof.
