It goes without saying that community and looking out for one another is incredibly important to keep our spirits high in wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. It’s been an extraordinarily difficult time for people who are most vulnerable, especially the elderly and disabled. We’ve heard heartbreaking stories of people’s grandparents left alone for months on end with no social interaction or support and it is still ongoing.
Local charities and support schemes need your help this Christmas by lending a helping hand to those who need it most. One of these fantastic initiatives is Inspire Levenshulme, a multi-purpose community venue owned by the people of Levenshulme.
Their ethos is to provide activities, classes and events that will benefit the area through community activity both creative, educational and fun.
Now they are in need of volunteers for December, here’s what they need:
❄️ Bag packers and drivers from 12th-16th Dec to help us deliver winter wellbeing packs to elderly people around the community
❄️ Volunteers on Christmas Day (under 1 hour) to deliver hot meals to local people
